My story begins in the shadow of Pine Mountain.
My great-grandmother grew up in Pineville, Bell County, Kentucky. Her father was a coal miner and both of her parents farmed tobacco. Despite her having had only an eighth grade education, she taught me to have an endless drive, a refusal to ever give up, and inspired my curiosity and research acumen.

Despite her having had only an eighth grade education, she taught me to have an endless drive, a refusal to ever give up, and inspired my curiosity and research acumen.
I was lucky to have known her until my mid-twenties, and she was a heavy influence in my being the first person in my family line to obtain a college education and the first woman to actively pursue a career.
This is the raison d'être that drives my design practice.
My design philosophy centers the user, celebrates difference, is driven by a firm set of personal ethics. Because, no matter what tools or technology we use; a unique human being is making the decision to buy your product or service.
This has inspired the meticulous attention to detail required to create custom brand specific imagery for 900+ restaurant sites within big and small chains, theme parks, casinos, cruise lines, and hotel chains; including 80+ sites for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.

This has compelled me to develop a united visual language across 187 uniquely illustrated buttons to be used with back-end restaurant kitchen software for both touchscreens and to be printed and inserted into physical bump bars; driving over 60,000 installs worldwide, and currently including brands like Texas Roadhouse, Bubba’s 33, and Dave’s Hot Chicken.
This has honored me with the opportunity to design identities, fundraising collateral, and social media campaigns to assist small, but mighty non-profits like Transformations CDC, Lives United: Music, Arts & Community, and the Carnegie Center for Art & History gain and extend audiences, fundraise within targeted demographics, and then, use those resources to assure success within their desired area of impact.
If you’re craving something more human, more real, more bright-eyed and bushy-tailed in your design; I’d be thrilled to meet you.
